Welcome to Ingomar Baptist Child Development Center. As a ministry of Ingomar Baptist Church, our ambition is to teach the Word of God to the next generation. We do this while providing a caring, safe, and enriching atmosphere in which your child can thrive, grow, and learn. Our infant and toddler programs introduce children to a wide range of learning appropriate to their ages and assist them as they reach important milestones. Our full-time childcare center offers the finest facilities providing the comforts of a home daycare with the security of a center.

The Child Development Center is located 5 miles south of New Albany, Mississippi at 1112 County Road 90 in Ingomar, Mississippi.

About Us
We strive to provide a clean, safe, and educational environment for young children and their families. Within our care, children develop skills that promote physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual growth. We are supportive of our parents and we welcome their positive involvement and presence at all times. We further believe that within our environment, children can thrive and blossom into responsible and contributing members of our society.
Our Staff
We require on-going training for our staff, orientation videos, and in-house training. First Aid and CPR certified staff are always on site.
Philosophy
It is the philosophy of Ingomar Baptist Child Development Center (CDC) that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring, and discovery. Preschool children are creative and receptive; the staff strives to nurture and encourage these qualities in the children.
Purpose
The Child Development Center’s purpose is to minister to the total child, meeting his/her needs on an individual basis; to teach basic concepts in all curriculum areas; to consider the parent a vital part of the educational role, offering opportunities for participation; to offer Christian education in a Christian environment by Christian teachers; and to develop the child with age-appropriate activities and guidance.
Standards
Ingomar Baptist Child Development Center is licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health and complies with all the standards put forth by that Department. Ingomar Baptist Child Development Center’s operation is governed by a volunteer Child Development Center Committee of Ingomar Baptist Church and two paid Preschool Directors.
Operating Hours
Ingomar Baptist Child Development Center operates year round. Infants, Ones, Twos, Threes, and Fours have the opportunity to meet full time.
Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Curriculum
The toddlers through two-year-olds use “ABC Jesus Loves Me” curriculum. The three-and four-year-olds use Abeka Curriculum which covers phonics and math and begins each August. Learning centers provide art, home living, science, blocks, books, music, and puzzle activities for three-and four-year-old classes. Our teachers offer opportunities for children to be expressive through various mediums and creative outlets.
Bible lessons are taught daily in each room. For older classes, there is a focus on Bible memorization using “ABC” verses.

Infants
Our infant area provides the highest quality care in an environment that is designed with the parent and child in mind. While in our care, the children are stimulated through music, exercise, outdoor time, facial and verbal mimicking as well as lots of hugs and love.
Toddlers
Toddlers meet new challenges with enthusiasm. Crawling, walking, and eventually running are skills they accomplish in what seems like a blink of an eye. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, stories, outdoor play, and learning activities are an integral part of the child’s day. Our caregivers are dedicated to helping each child develop these skills through a trusting and loving relationship.
Enrollment
The Enrollment Process
Enrolling and/or reserving a future space for your child is simple. Contact us to schedule a time for you and your child to visit us in our Center. We will be happy to answer any questions you have. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to meet us and learn more about what we offer. This time will give all involved an opportunity to get to know one another and to affirm that all personalities mix well. This is important and helps to ensure that all parties are comfortable with their surroundings and expectations. After this on-site visit, the registration process may begin. There are various forms to be completed and others to be read. Once they are read, completed, signed, and the deposit has been paid, your child’s space has been reserved and the final step is to decide on a start date.
